Description
Are you an experienced maintenance and repair technician? We are seeking the self motivating, self starting employee for a full time or part time position that is experienced with all aspects of welding, concrete work, simple electrical, plumbing, drywall repairing - taping - mudding, painting, overhead door repairs, and low-voltage devices. Are you that experienced handyman that can do it all? We are a national company that offers competitive wages and benefits. Job requires that you have reliable transportation (van or truck), current valid drivers license, and your own hand tools - bi-lingual is a plus. We work throughout the Bay Area . Drug testing may be required upon hire. SUMMARY:
To perform general maintenance and repairs including maintenance painting, light drywall and finish work, light carpentry, finish carpentry, light electrical, light plumbing and other types of maintenance trades at various location in the alteration and repair and maintaining of buildings.
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed (other functions and responsibilities may be assigned).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs rough and finish carpentry including tenant improvement additions and remodels.; installs floors, ceiling material, paneling, plastic laminates, and hardware.
2. Sets up and operates wood working tools to cut, form and finish material for the job. Erects or dismantles structures, repairs or refinishes walls or structures.
3. Installs wood or metal parts. Installs glass or replaces broken glass as required. Erects or dismantles roofing or siding. Prepares irregular scaffolding which may be required.
4. Lubricates and maintains carpenter shop equipment.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Driving and transporting tools to the various job sites
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Previous experience in the maintenance field with a proven track record of success required.
2. Must have valid drivers license and reliable work vehicle with insurance for transportation of people and equipment to and from jobs. (van, pickup, etc.)
3. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
4. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to fumes and airborne
